UL Solutions seeks a Principal Engineer - Digital AI for Consumer TIC, providing global technical leadership on AI governance, enterprise/cloud AI, and lifecycle assurance. The role translates evolving standards, regulations, and customer needs into scalable offerings across AI systems.

This hybrid position requires 3 onsite days in UL offices worldwide; remote consideration is available for non-local candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, AI, or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of technical experience in software platforms, cloud AI, cybersecurity, or related domains, incl. 5+ years with AI.
• Experience translating AI governance, model risk management, and regulatory requirements into services.
• Ability to evaluate AI systems, identify risks, and address failure modes, bias, privacy, security.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation methods, benchmarking, red teaming, and risk-based testing.
• Knowledge of predictive and Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and governance risks.
