Job summary

NCS is hiring for an AI FinOps Engineer to monitor token usage, optimize model costs, and govern AI spend across client engagements. You will build dashboards, analyse cost drivers, and support POC-to-production cost modelling in a multi-engagement environment.

Senior levels own FinOps standards, guide pricing discussions, mentor engineers, and shape enterprise-wide AI cost governance practices. Role sits in NCS AI Central's Forward Deployed Engineering model across multiple engagements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in cloud FinOps, cost engineering, or related technical-finance role; 5+ years with end-to-end cost governance ownership expected at Senior level.
• Solid understanding of LLM pricing models (token-based, per-request) across major providers (OpenAI, Azure, AWS Bedrock, Vertex).
• Comfortable working with cost/usage data—SQL, spreadsheet modelling, and basic scripting (Python) for automation and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain token spend and inference cost monitoring across engagements with per-model, per-engagement, and per-client visibility.
• Identify right-sizing opportunities, routing between frontier and smaller models without compromising quality.
• Set up cost alerting and budget guardrails to prevent overruns.
