Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking an experienced backend/AI engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable applications and microservices. You will develop LLM-powered features, integrate LLM APIs, and manage vector databases for semantic search.

The role requires strong Python or multi-language skills, hands-on with FastAPI/Spring Boot, and experience in AI safety and deployment. You will work across the SDLC in a DevOps environment, collaborating with stakeholders to translate complex AI requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field required.
• 5+ years of software development experience with backend/API focus.
• Proficient in Python; working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript/Java/Kotlin.
• Hands-on with FastAPI, Spring Boot, backend frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI applications.
• Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search.
• Familiarity with LangChain and Agent Harness concepts.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, guardrails, and hallucination mitigation.
• Strong OOP and design patterns, distributed systems.
• Proficiency in SQL, ORM (Hibernate/JPA); NoSQL like MongoDB is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, DevOps, deployment automation.
• Strong communication to explain complex engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and refine technical and AI requirements with stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, microservices, and APIs.
• Develop and integrate LLM-powered features (copilots, chatbots, decision-support).
• Build backend services using Java, Python, Node.js, and FastAPI/Spring Boot.
• Perform prompt engineering, context engineering, and RAG techniques.
• Build and orchestrate AI agents and multi-agent workflows.
• Apply OOP, OOAD, and design patterns to robust systems.
• Integrate LLM APIs and manage vector databases for semantic search.
• Develop AI evaluation, testing harnesses, and guardrails for reliability.
• Design and optimize SQL databases using ORM tools (Hibernate/JPA).
• Contribute to full-stack development including UI/UX with JS/TS.
• Manage end-to-end SDLC and CI/CD pipelines for apps and AI workloads.
• Work in a DevOps environment supporting automation and monitoring.
