Job summary

DBS Bank Asia Central invites an Assoc/Snr AI Engineer to join Risk Technology. The role focuses on building scalable AI-powered applications, integrating LLMs, and developing secure microservices with Java, Python, and modern frameworks.

You will work with data, CI/CD pipelines, and AI guardrails in a DevOps environment. The position requires strong Python skills, backend experience, and knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, and semantic search.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Spring Boot, and backend frameworks.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI application development.
• Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Familiarity with LangChain and Agent Harness concepts.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, guardrails, and hallucination mitigation techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA); NoSQL (MongoDB) is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, DevOps practices, and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine AI-related requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, microservices, and APIs.
• Develop and integrate LLM-powered features (copilots, chatbots, decision-support tools).
• Build backend services using Java, Python, Node.js, and frameworks like FastAPI/Spring Boot.
• Perform prompt engineering, context engineering, and RAG.
• Build and orchestrate AI agents, Agent Harness, and multi-agent workflows.
• Apply OOP, OOAD principles, and design patterns to deliver robust systems.
• Integrate LLM APIs and manage vector databases for semantic search.
• Develop AI evaluation, testing harnesses, and guardrails.
• Design and optimize SQL databases and work with ORM tools (Hibernate/JPA).
• Contribute to full-stack development, including UI/UX using JS/TS.
• Manage end-to-end SDLC, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and AI workloads.
• Work in a DevOps environment with automation, monitoring, and scalability.
