Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable AI-enabled applications and microservices. You will work with Python, JavaScript, Java, and Kotlin, building RESTful APIs, LLM-powered features, and AI agents, while ensuring robust CI/CD and DevOps practices. Location: Singapore.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, design patterns, and semantic search using embeddings, with collaboration across business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Spring Boot, and backend frameworks.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience or exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI app development.
• Knowledge of LangChain, Agent Harness, AI evaluation, and guardrails.
• Proficiency in SQL, ORM tools (Hibernate/JPA); familiarity with MongoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, DevOps, and deployment automation.
• Strong communication to explain complex engineering and AI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine AI-related requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, microservices, and APIs.
• Develop and integrate LLM-powered features and AI copilots.
• Build backend services using Java, Python, Node.js, and modern frameworks.
• Implement prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and semantic search.
• Develop AI evaluation harnesses, tests, and guardrails for reliability.
• Handle SQL databases and ORM integration; work with NoSQL as needed.
• Contribute to full-stack development, including UI/UX using JS/TS.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for AI workloads.
