Job summary

NAMIC, Inc. is seeking a Senior/Engineer (Additive Manufacturing) for a 2-year contract within the School of Engineering. The role focuses on CAD-driven design, optimization for manufacturability, and collaboration across disciplines to advance AM projects.

The candidate should bring deep experience in design for additive manufacturing, AM technologies, and mentoring capabilities. Responsibilities include prototyping, testing, and supporting grant applications and industry collaborations.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in engineering design, product development, or advanced manufacturing.
Proficiency in CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or equivalent tools.
Strong knowledge of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) principles.

Responsibilities

Utilise CAD software to conceptualise, design, and optimise components and systems.
Design and develop engineering solutions for additive manufacturing projects.
Apply engineering principles to address technical challenges with focus on manufacturability.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support product development.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, researchers, and students.
Support prototyping, testing, validation, and design optimisation.
