Job summary

Talent-Merge Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior accounting and finance leader to own the full accounting cycle across multiple entities. You will consolidate group results, drive month-end close, ensure IFRS/SFRS compliance, and oversee audits and tax matters while guiding a small finance team.

You will deliver financial insights, build forecasts and budgets, and present financial packs for investors and the Board, enabling strategic growth for a scaling business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; recognised professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA/ICAEW) or nearing completion.
  • 7–10 years in accounting/finance with at least 3 years in senior / financial controller roles.
  • Strong command of SFRS/IFRS, Singapore tax and statutory compliance, group consolidation.
  • Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP or Oracle; advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Audits, budgets, forecasts and cash flow oversight across multiple entities or units.

Responsibilities

  • Own full set of accounts, monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements across entities.
  • Consolidate group results, including intercompany eliminations and multi-entity reporting.
  • Drive monthly/year-end close: accruals, provisions, revenue recognition, reconciliations.
  • Compile budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections and variance analysis for senior management.
  • Oversee corporate tax, GST, payroll reporting and statutory submissions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and service providers through sign-off.
  • Institute accounting policies, approval workflows and internal controls for scaling business.
  • Evaluate revenue, costs, margins and unit economics; translate into commercial actions.
  • Produce financial packs and models for investors and Board; support fundraising and due diligence.
  • Guide and develop a small finance team while remaining hands-on with critical accounting activities.

Job Description
  • Own the full set of accounts, monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements across all entities.
  • Consolidate group results, including intercompany eliminations and multi-entity reporting.
  • Drive the monthly and year-end close, covering accruals, provisions, revenue recognition and balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Compile budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections and variance analysis for senior management.
  • Oversee corporate tax, GST, payroll-related reporting and other statutory submissions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and professional service providers through to sign-off.
  • Institute accounting policies, approval workflows and internal financial controls suited to a scaling business.
  • Evaluate revenue, operating costs, margins and unit economics, and translate findings into commercial recommendations.
  • Produce financial packs and models for investors, shareholders and Board discussions, including fundraising and due diligence exercises.
  • Guide and develop a small finance team while remaining hands-on with critical accounting activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, with a recognised professional accounting qualification such as CA (Singapore), ACCA, CPA Australia or ICAEW, or nearing completion.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of accounting and finance experience, of which at least 3 years were spent in a senior accounting, finance manager or financial controller capacity.
  • Strong command of SFRS and IFRS, Singapore tax and statutory compliance, group consolidation, financial modelling, and accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP or Oracle, alongside advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Track record of overseeing audits, budgets, forecasts and cash flow across several entities or business units, ideally within technology, fintech, maritime, healthcare or other fast-growing sectors.
  • Sound judgement with confidential information, clear communication of financial matters to non-finance stakeholders, and the confidence to raise risks and challenge unsupported assumptions early.
