Job summary

The role requires proven experience as an Able Seaman or deck rating, with preference for candidates who have worked on lighterage, harbor craft, or tug vessels. Dockside safety, certificate validity, and ability to work flexible schedules are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a similar Able Seaman or deck rating role.
• Prior experience on lighterage, harbor craft, or tug vessels is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to work in outdoor, physically demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead deck operations and assist Master/Boatman in safe navigation and vessel movements.
• Oversee cargo loading/unloading, securing, and lighterage operations.
• Maintain deck cleanliness and inspect deck equipment, PPE, and safety gear.
• Enforce safety protocols in line with MPA guidelines and international maritime rules.
• Support bunkering, inventory checks, and general crew welfare.
