Job summary

COASTLINK SERVICES PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Able Seaman (Senior AB) to lead deck operations, support the Master/Boatman, and ensure safe, efficient marine transportation, lighterage, cargo handling, and vessel maintenance.

The role requires proven experience as an Able Seaman or deck rating, valid maritime certificates, and readiness to work on schedule, including weekends and extended shifts at sea or port calls in Singapore waters.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Senior Able Seaman or deck rating role.
• Valid maritime certificates (e.g., MPA-recognised Deck Rating / Steersman certificates, STCW modules) will be an advantage.
• Willingness to work on board vessels in outdoor, physically demanding environments.
• Flexibility to work according to vessel schedules, including weekends and extended shifts.
• Safety mindset and ability to work in a maritime team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Master/Boatman in safe navigation, maneuvering, and vessel movements.
• Lead berthing, unberthing, mooring, and unmooring operations.
• Operate deck machinery, mooring lines, anchors, and related equipment.
• Maintain lookout and support cargo loading, unloading, and securing operations.
• Oversee deck cleanliness, inventory, and routine vessel checks.
• Enforce safety protocols and report incidents or hazards.
