The Winstedt School Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Teacher (SEN Support) to support high-quality teaching, student well-being and inclusive learning aligned with the school’s Vision, Mission and values. You will work with teachers and the Therapy and Pastoral Care team to implement personalised strategies and create supportive classroom adaptations for diverse learners.

Competenze

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Education, Special Educational Needs, Psychology, Child Development or related field.
• Experience working with children or young people with diverse learning needs.
• Understanding of inclusive education practices and student support strategies.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Calm, patient and flexible approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• Support students within lessons to access learning and engage successfully in classroom activities.
• Work with individual students and small groups under guidance of the class teacher.
• Assist in implementing personalised learning strategies and classroom accommodations.
• Support students with organisation, attention, communication, emotional regulation and task completion where required.
• Reinforce teacher instructions and help break learning into manageable steps.
• Encourage student independence, confidence and resilience.

• Assist with monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.
• Contribute to observations and discussions regarding student development and support needs.
• Help facilitate practical, creative or hands-on learning activities where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, TPC staff and school leaders to support student learning and well-being.
• Participate in meetings, training and professional learning opportunities as required.
• Maintain professional and respectful communication with students, staff and parents.
• Contribute positively to the wider school culture and team environment.
