Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across core subjects by supporting classroom routines and helping manage student behaviour.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with learning tasks, transitions, or social interaction.
• Prepare and organise teaching materials, learning aids, and classroom resources to support effective instruction.
• Support students with diverse learning profiles by implementing accommodations and differentiated strategies as guided by the classroom teacher and specialists.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment that promotes participation, confidence, and independence.
• Monitor and assist with daily routines, including transitions, toileting (where required), snack times, and movement breaks.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the learning support team to implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and classroom strategies.
• Provide feedback on student progress, behaviours, or challenges to the teaching team and participate in team discussions or briefings.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with both students and colleagues.
