PERSOL Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a motivated candidate to support thin film deposition projects and 2D materials development in a cleanroom environment.
The role involves planning experiments, data collection, reporting, and collaboration with engineers to optimize ALD/CVD processes, with emphasis on safety and compliance with EHS guidelines. Diploma holders in related fields are encouraged to apply.
Assist engineers in planning and executing experiments (e.g., ALD/CVD, post-processing, and related process development), including data collection, preliminary analysis, and reporting within established safety guidelines.
Perform material characterization using techniques such as SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, and ellipsometry to evaluate film quality and uniformity.
Prepare substrates, precursors, and consumables, and support day-to-day operation of process tools and lab equipment.
Generate clear internal documentation including run logs, SOPs, and summaries for technical reviews and presentations.
Strictly adhere to EHS protocols, including safe handling of chemicals and gases (e.g., chalcogen precursors), and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Contribute to process optimization, tool readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives in 2D materials development.
Diploma in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
≥1-year hands-on experience in thin film deposition (e.g., ALD, CVD, or thermal processing) is a plus.
Exposure to 2D materials such as WS2, WSe2, MoS2 or related TMDs is desirable.
Familiarity with characterization techniques (SEM, EDX, Raman, ellipsometry) is a plus.
Basic understanding of chemical safety, gas handling, and cleanroom/lab protocols.
