Job summary

Inter Island Group is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Penang team. You will optimize manufacturing capability, drive process improvements, and implement robust corrective actions through root-cause analyses.

Role involves planning DOEs, setting up SOPs, and leading new process implementations in a high-volume production environment. Fresh graduates and diploma holders with relevant manufacturing exposure are encouraged to apply; English is essential, Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates are welcome with full training provided.
• Diploma holders with 2–3 years of relevant manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for supplier and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement & Evaluation: study, test, and evaluate new methods to elevate capabilities and yield.
• Design of Experiments (DOE): plan and execute DOEs to optimize process parameters.
• Technical Root-Cause Analysis: investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): assist in setting up machine procedures, parameters, and safety guidelines.
• Cost Optimization: explore opportunities to reduce material usage or source lower-cost alternatives.
• New Process Implementation: lead rollout and validation of new manufacturing processes on the line.
