Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia is seeking a fresh graduate to join our manufacturing engineering team in Singapore. As an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work with cross-functional teams, and support cost reduction and quality improvements in a high-tech environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, internship or project exposure in semiconductors, strong analytical skills, and good communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering required.
• Internships/academic projects in semiconductor or manufacturing are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of manufacturing principles and semiconductor industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CAD or engineering drawings is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment where cleanroom suit is compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequences and processes in fabrication.
• Interfaces with other engineering functions to coordinate product improvements and new products.
• Launches, releases, approves and implements engineering changes as required.
• Estimates and reduces manufacturing and/or product costs; determines time standards and tooling needs.
• Writes and releases test procedures; gathers data and evaluates results.
• Assists in root cause analysis for issues during assembly and test.
• Supports production operations and drives process improvements for quality and productivity.
