Job summary

VDL ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES GROUP (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead end-to-end planning, direction, and coordination of assembly processes for a project. You will work with the program team to ensure costs, quality, and delivery targets are met.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing assembly, strong leadership, and experience with process improvement and certification programs in a clean room environment. A Lean Six Sigma Green belt is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment.
• Lean Six Sigma Green certified is preferred.
• Strategic, creative, and systemic thinking.
• Excellent leadership and effective communication with all levels of associates and management.

Responsibilities

• Design production layout to meet build plan forecast or predefined run rate.
• Define requirements for assembly tools and equipment to support product realization.
• Participate in PQP to identify risks and define preventive actions.
• Implement a certification program for assembly leadership.
• Collaborate on assembly Kit Kart design for material flow in clean room.
• Lead in resolving technical problems and customer quality complaints.
• Monitor assembly capacity and perform ramp assessments to meet delivery targets.
• Contribute to system build progress meetings to ensure on-time delivery.
• Evaluate assembly efficiency and drive improvements to reduce cycle time.
• Monitor customer consigned equipment for inventory, calibration, and maintenance.
• Identify and implement improvements to boost safety and sustainability.
• Support continuous improvement programs.
