Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to lead end-to-end planning, direction, and coordination of all manufacturing processes for a specific project. You will collaborate with the program team to ensure assembly meets cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Responsibilities include designing production layouts, specifying assembly tools, driving continuous improvement, and coordinating with Process Engineers to optimize materials flow and ramp performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as an engineer in the manufacturing assembly environment.
• Lean Six Sigma Green certified is preferred.
• Strategic, creative, and systemic thinking.
• Excellent leadership and effective communication with all levels of associates and management.

Responsibilities

• Design production layouts to fulfill build plan forecast or run rate.
• Define requirements for assembly tools and equipment.
• Participate in PQP to identify risks and implement preventive actions.
• Lead assembly task certification program and training.
• Collaborate with Process Engineer on assembly kit kart design and materials flow.
• Lead in resolving technical problems and customer quality complaints.
• Monitor assembly capacity and ramp to meet build plan deliveries.
• Contribute to system build progress meetings to ensure on-time delivery.
• Evaluate assembly efficiency and implement improvements for standard time.
• Ensure consigned equipment are inventoried, calibrated, and maintained.
• Identify improvements to shorten production cycles, improve efficiency, quality, safety, and sustainability.
• Support continuous improvement programs.
