Job summary

Samsung Electronics Device Solution in Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Operations Engineer to manage and maintain the DSRS lab infrastructure, enabling high-precision optical and semiconductor testing. You will support R&D engineers by ensuring optimal testing environments and providing technical feedback during prototype characterization.

The role requires hands-on lab management, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a science or engineering major.
• Minimum 2 years of clean room lab management experience.
• Hands-on experience with optical assembly equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of optical packaging and photonics/IC packaging preferred.
• Knowledge on packaging materials and optical alignment technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory equipment and ensure uptime.
• Support assembly, metrology, and optical test equipment operation.
• Maintain material and sample inventory; procure lab consumables.
• Oversee safety, compliance, and lab facility upkeep.
• Provide raw data and lab test reports with feedback to SG Research engineers.
