Job summary

M.C. Dean, Building Intelligence®, seeks a Security Systems Project Manager (Deputy Project Leader) to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit.

You will run day‑to‑day project operations, coordinate with owners, contractors and design professionals, and deliver intrusion, access control, video and IT systems on complex projects for federal, local and commercial clients. The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering with 5+ years in electrical/construction contracting, CPM scheduling

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (EE or related) with 5+ years of experience.
• Related Construction experience with five years’ working for an electrical or construction contractor.
• Experience on projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Experience with CPM Scheduling
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and drawings on projects.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills; problem solver.
• Ability to plan and organize own and others’ activities.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensuring effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
• Maintain as-builts as work is completed. Document project issues/conditions.
• Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
• Develop goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish work.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specs.
