Job summary

Eames Consulting is sourcing a senior cybersecurity leader to oversee security operations, incident response and the continuous improvement of defensive capabilities for a leading organisation. You will lead security operations across threat detection, monitoring and vulnerability management, spanning on-prem and multi-cloud environments, and partner with SOC teams on incidents and remediation.

The role requires 16+ years of experience, hands-on cloud/infrastructure security, and strong people

Qualifications

• 16+ years in cybersecurity with focus on SecOps.
• Experience leading a cybersecurity or security operations team.
• Hands-on in infrastructure and cloud security.
• Experience with SOC/SecOps tools and security monitoring.

I’m currently working on a senior Security Operations opportunity with a leading organisation, looking for an experienced cybersecurity leader to oversee security operations, incident response and the continuous improvement of defensive capabilities.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead Security Operations covering threat detection, security monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management.
• Oversee infrastructure and cloud security across on-premise and multi-cloud environments.
• Partner closely with SOC teams on security incidents, investigations and remediation.
• Provide security advisory and guidance to technology and business teams on new initiatives and changes.
• Drive improvements across security controls, monitoring capabilities and operational processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of cybersecurity professionals.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 16 years of experience across cybersecurity, with strong exposure to Security Operations / SecOps.
• Prior experience leading and managing a team of cybersecurity or security operations professionals is essential.
• Strong hands-on background in infrastructure, cloud security and cyber incident management.
• Experience working with SOC / SecOps functions and security monitoring technologies.
• Good understanding of vulnerability management, security hardening and defensive security controls.
• Experience working in a highly regulated environment
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and people leadership skills.
