Our client are seeking an experiencedSenior Lead Cybersecurity Engineerto join our cybersecurity team and drive the design, implementation, and operational excellence of enterprise security platforms. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for securing enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, and critical business applications while delivering scalable, resilient, and automated security solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong security engineering expertise with cloud security knowledge, automation capabilities, and experience implementing enterprise-grade security technologies.
Design, implement, and manage enterprise security solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
Lead the deployment, integration, and optimization of security platforms to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.
Engineer and support cloud-native security capabilities across AWS environments, ensuring security best practices are embedded throughout the cloud lifecycle.
Develop and maintain security automation using scripting, APIs, and orchestration tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex security, infrastructure, and integration issues across enterprise environments.
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and network teams to implement secure architectures and operational best practices.
Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend enhancements to improve security capabilities and operational maturity.
Support security incident investigations, vulnerability remediation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
At least 10 years of hands-on Security Engineering experience within large-scale enterprise environments.
Minimum 5 years of experience securing cloud platforms, with strong expertise in AWS native security services and cloud security architecture.
Proven experience delivering enterprise security solutions from design through implementation, production deployment, and operational support.
Strong hands-on experience implementing and managing enterprise security technologies, including:
SOAR
EDR/XDR
Endpoint Protection / Anti-Virus
Vulnerability Management
Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Web Application Firewall (WAF)
Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
Solid understanding of information security principles, secure architecture, networking, TCP/IP, firewalls, and system hardening.
Strong administration and troubleshooting skills in Unix/Linux environments.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Shell, Python, or similar languages.
Experience developing security automation and integrations using APIs, scripting, and orchestration technologies.
Experience integrating security controls into cloud and enterprise platforms to improve scalability, consistency, and operational efficiency.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical challenges and production deployments.
Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional technology teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors in complex enterprise environments.
One or more industry-recognised cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or equivalent.
Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or equivalent are highly desirable.
