ByteDance is seeking a Security Analyst Project Intern for a 2027 start in Singapore. The role sits within the Global Corporate Security Operations Center and offers hands-on exposure to enterprise IT security, including SIEM/EDR concepts and defensive engineering.

You will contribute to short-term projects, investigate alerts, and learn detection strategies while writing scripts to automate tasks and documenting learnings for the team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, or another STEM field.
• Foundational understanding of security concepts through coursework, self-study, labs, or personal projects.
• Basic scripting ability in Python — write short scripts to parse files or automate tasks.
• Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and Windows/Linux OS.

Responsabilités

• Investigate false positives and suggest improvements to severity tagging and alert disposal logic.
• Join guided threat-hunting exercises based on known TTPs and threat intelligence.
• Map detection logic to MITRE ATT&CK and MaGMa frameworks.
• Write small scripts to automate repetitive investigation or data-parsing tasks.
• Maintain documentation of detections, playbooks, and learnings for the team.
