Job summary

STTGDC, a global data centre solutions provider headquartered in Singapore, invites a Cybersecurity Intern to join our Cyber Security team. This hands-on internship covers threat monitoring, risk management, governance, cloud security, vulnerability management, and security automation across IT and OT environments.

You will work with enterprise cybersecurity technologies including Microsoft Defender XDR, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 Security, and SIEM/EDR tools, gaining exposure to security

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux, networking fundamentals, cloud technologies.
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is beneficial.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a security-minded mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support security monitoring, alert triage, incident investigations, and threat-hunting activities.
• Review security events, logs, and indicators of compromise, and assist in documenting findings and incident reports.
• Contribute to cybersecurity automation, reporting, dashboards, and process improvements.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, and security evaluations of new technologies.
• Support cybersecurity risk assessments, policy maintenance, compliance reviews, and control testing.
• Conduct research on security frameworks and industry best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443, CIS).
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, presentations, and cybersecurity risk summaries.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders on cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Cybersecurity Intern to join our Cyber Security team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to cybersecurity operations, threat monitoring, risk management, governance, cloud security, vulnerability management, and security automation across both IT and OT environments.

You will have the opportunity to work with enterprise cybersecurity technologies and practices, including Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 Security, Netskope Security Service Edge (SSE), threat hunting and security analytics, cloud and identity security, incident response, OT/ICS cybersecurity concepts, AI security and governance, cybersecurity risk management, and security architecture.

• Support security monitoring, alert triage, incident investigations, and threat-hunting activities.
• Review security events, logs, and indicators of compromise, and assist in documenting findings and incident reports.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity concepts is advantageous.
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and exposure to security tools, SIEM, EDR, or cloud security technologies would be beneficial.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
