Job summary

ByteDance Singapore is seeking a Security Red Team Engineer to simulate adversarial threats and assess the security of enterprise products. You will design and execute offensive security exercises, translate findings into actionable test plans, and collaborate with multiple teams to reinforce defenses.

The role requires a STEM degree, strong knowledge of red team operations and MITRE techniques, and excellent communication skills to document insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IS or STEM field required.
• Knowledge of red team operations, infrastructure security, MITRE, and TTPs.
• Adversarial mindset and threat-focused thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Propose, plan, and execute Red Team operations to test confidentiality, integrity, authentication, availability, authorization and nonrepudiation against realistic threats.
• Maintain deep understanding of ByteDance Enterprise Products and potential attack vectors.
• Conduct security exercises simulating real-world threats and applicable TTPs.
• Translate requirements into test plans and write/execute scripts to assess vulnerabilities.
• Certify infrastructure components, systems and applications against security standards.
• Produce detailed reports with goals, outcomes, observations and recommendations.
• Collaborate with defense/product teams to enhance security offerings.

Education

STEM degree (BS/MS) in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Systems or related field
