Job summary

Percept Solutions PTE. LTD. is seeking a Settlement Officer to support securities operations and trade settlement activities across asset classes.

You will ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and collaborate with counterparties, custodians and internal teams to resolve settlement issues. The role requires a diploma or degree in Banking, Finance or related field and at least 3 years of experience in banking or trade settlement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, securities operations, custody or trade settlement.
• Experience in securities settlement or post-trade operations is advantageous.
• Good understanding of financial markets and product types (Equities, Fixed Income, Structured Notes) is preferred.
• Familiarity with trade lifecycle, settlement processes and STP processing is an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform trade capture and processing for securities transactions across asset classes.
• Handle daily trade processing activities including booking, validation, confirmation and matching.
• Review and process trade exceptions not booked via STP channels.
• Ensure settlement instructions are released and settlements meet market timelines.
• Liaise with counterparties, custodians and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve cash and securities position breaks.
• Monitor outstanding and failing trades and follow up for timely settlement.
• Conduct daily controls, reconciliations and end-of-day checks.
• Escalate issues and risks when required.
• Identify gaps and contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
• Support UAT and ad-hoc operational projects.
• Assist with other duties as required by the Line Manager.
