Job summary

GIC, one of the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds, seeks an Associate, Securities Operations (Contract) in Singapore to support trading activities, settlements, and operations across asset classes. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 3 years experience in Operations, preferably handling Fixed Income.
• Inquisitive and curious, detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, multitasking, excellent communication skills and drive for excellence.
• Able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Good team player who collaborates with internal and external counterparts, self-motivated in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Trading Activities for Securities Asset Classes: Ensure timely and accurate external instructions and bookings, ensuring sufficient funding and compliance with internal and custodian bank cut-off times.
• Service Management: Monitor and enhance service delivery from Custodians, Brokers, and External Fund Managers, focusing on confirmations, settlements, transaction processing, NAV reporting and compliance monitoring.
• Operational Efficiency and Risk Reduction: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and accuracy, implement strategies to minimize operational risks, and maintain robust operational controls.
• System Enhancements and AI Integration: Participate in system upgrades, automation initiatives, and user acceptance testing, leveraging AI for automation and data analysis, combined with a strong understanding of business needs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with Asset Departments, Traders, and Corporate Services teams to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication.
• New Product, Market Implementation, and Deals Management: Evaluate and implement new products and markets for investment by portfolio managers, manage deals effectively, and work with external vendors to keep track of market developments.
