Job summary

ATOP Academy PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a passionate science tutor to deliver engaging lessons in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or lower-secondary Science aligned with the MOE secondary syllabus.

You will tailor your instruction to student needs, assess progress, and create practical learning activities. You should hold a qualification in Education or a science field, fluent English, and excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• GCE A-Level, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Education, Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong subject knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and/or lower-secondary Science.
• Familiarity with Singapore MOE Secondary Science syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Passion for teaching and supporting secondary school students.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Responsible, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with Singapore MOE secondary syllabus.

• Develop students’ understanding of scientific inquiry, experimental methods, data analysis, and practical applications.
• Guide students in answering structured, application-based, and calculation questions accurately.
• Mark assignments, monitor student progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for school assessments, practical assessments, and national examinations.
• Develop students’ curiosity, critical thinking, scientific reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress.
• Develop teaching resources, lesson materials, and practical learning activities.
