Job summary

ATOP Academy PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated secondary Chemistry tutor to deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus. The role involves assessing student needs, tailoring lesson plans, and guiding learners through inquiry, experiments, and data analysis.

You will mark work, monitor progress, and prepare students for assessments and exams while maintaining a positive and disciplined learning environment. Strong English and teaching passion are essential.

Qualifications

• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, and/or lower-secondary Science.
• Familiarity with Singapore MOE Secondary Science syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for teaching and supporting secondary school students.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with Singapore MOE secondary syllabus.

• Prepare students for school assessments, practical assessments, and national examinations.
• Develop students’ curiosity, critical thinking, scientific reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress.
• Develop teaching resources, lesson materials, and practical learning activities.
