Job summary

APPLE SOUTH ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to advance automated testing across iOS, macOS and web platforms.

You will design and maintain test frameworks, implement scalable solutions, and partner with developers to improve quality throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires 5+ years in software development and QA, with strong skills in Java, Swift or Python, and experience building automated UI tests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in Software Development/Quality Engineering.
• Strong passion for quality assurance in software, including developing and maintaining automated test libraries and tools.
• Strong programming and software design skills, preferably in Java, Swift and/or Python.
• Excellent knowledge of and experience with test methodologies ranging from functional unit tests to non-functional exploratory testing.
• Experience in building automated UI and non-UI tests for user facing applications or system frameworks. Experience with testing on iOS, macOS, Web, Android and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and evolve automated test frameworks, monitor CI performance, analyze test results, and report findings.
• Identify gaps in existing test plans and close them with scalable, maintainable approaches.
• Drive quality work and advocate for quality in the software development process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Proactively triage, investigate, and debug complex technical and UX issues both independently and in teams.
