Job summary

NatSteel Holdings Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a proactive Scrap Purchasing Specialist to source metal scrap from local suppliers, negotiate terms, and monitor market trends. You will build strong supplier relationships and coordinate with operations to ensure timely collection and delivery.

The role requires knowledge of the Singapore scrap market, the ability to visit supplier premises, and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in metal scrap purchasing, scrap trading or the metal recycling industry is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Singapore metal scrap market, including local scrap suppliers, market prices and industry practices.
• Must possess own car for regular visits to suppliers.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain good relationships with scrap suppliers.
• Preferably able to communicate in both English and Mandarin to liaise with English- and Mandarin-speaking suppliers.
