Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Workday Techno-Functional Consultant with 10+ years of Workday experience to design, configure, implement, integrate, and support Workday solutions. The role requires collaboration with HR/Finance teams and technical staff to deliver end-to-end projects, including upgrades and integrations.

The candidate will own technical design, provide production support, mentor junior consultants, and ensure quality and compliance with best practices in a fast-paced, global delivery

Qualifications

• Strong functional expertise in Workday modules: Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Talent & Performance, Recruiting, Payroll, or Financials (FINS/FDM).
• Hands-on technical experience with Workday integration tools: Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, and API.
• Proficiency in Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Custom Reports, and RaaS.
• Strong understanding of Workday security model (domain and business process security policies, security groups).
• Experience with Workday Business Process configuration and workflow design.
• Working knowledge of XML, XSLT, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and API-based integrations.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, with ability to interact directly with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from business stakeholders.
• Design, configure, and maintain Workday business processes, security groups, organizations, and calculated fields.
• Design and develop Workday integrations using tools such as Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connectors, PECI, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• Build and maintain custom reports using Workday Report Writer, Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, and BIRT/RaaS (Report as a Service).
• Translate functional specifications into technical design documents (TDD) and configuration workbooks.
• Perform end-to-end testing including unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.
• Support Workday releases (bi-annual updates) — assess impact, regression test, and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain functional/technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer artifacts.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, ensuring SLAs are met for incident and service request resolution.
• Participate in client status calls, steering committee updates, and project governance activities.

Job Description Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Techno-Functional Consultant with over 10 years of workday experience across Workday design, configuration, implementation, integration, and support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of HCM functional knowledge in Workday modules and technical proficiency in Workday integration tools, and will be able to independently manage end-to-end project delivery — from requirements gathering and solution design through build, testing, deployment, and post-production support. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, HR/Finance teams, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
Role

The consultant will act as a bridge between business/functional teams and the technical implementation team, and will be expected to:

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday HCM/Financials modules and associated integrations.
• Lead or support Workday implementation, migration, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
• Own the technical design and delivery of Workday integrations, Functional, reports, and custom configurations.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for Workday-related issues.
• Mentor junior consultants and review deliverables for quality and compliance with best practices.
