Job summary

Chongfu School seeks a Teaching Aide – Math & Science Lab & Makerspace cum Admin Assistant to support teachers in three science labs and the makerspace. The role includes setting up experiments, providing technical support, maintaining safety, and assisting with administrative tasks.

The position runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027, with the option to extend to 2028. Hours are Mon-Thu 7:15 am–4:45 pm and Fri 7:15 am–4:15 pm; no weekend or public holiday work.

Qualifications

• Possess GCE ‘O’ or its equivalent.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Meticulous with good planning and organising abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Candidates with experience in primary school science labs and managing maths manipulatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up apparatus for Science and Maths lessons and Makerspace sessions; clean up after sessions.
• Provide technical support to teaching and learning in the science labs and makerspace; assist with risk assessments.
• Keep labs and makerspace clean, sanitised, safe, and well-organised when in use or not in use.
• Maintain scientific instruments and stock; check deliveries and reorder items as needed; assist with resource maintenance.
• Carry out simple admin tasks such as records, inventory, labels, posters, and liaising with vendors for quotations.
• Operate and maintain basic office equipment and materials.
• Cover reception duties or support special school events as required.
