Job summary

SUNNYHILL ACE PTE. LTD. seeks a school laboratory assistant to support daily lab activities in Singapore. You will prepare experiments, assist teachers during practicals, and ensure the lab remains clean and organized.

You will also help with stock takes, manage eco garden corners, and support harvesting cycles and science activities, including recycling programs on Thursdays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school laboratory preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and a cooperative team player.
• Organized, multitasking ability, and highly detailed.

Roles & Responsibilities

Your daily scope of services will include:

• Experiment Setup: Prepare apparatus and science setups for classroom experiments.
• Teacher Assistance: Render direct help to teachers during laboratory practicals.
• Lab Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of neatness in the laboratory.
• Stock Management: Perform full inventory stocktakes twice a year.
• Eco Garden Care: Manage primary school eco-corners including hydroponics and vertical gardens.
• Harvesting Support: Assist with plant transplanting and harvesting cycles.
• Recess Activities: Facilitate Thursday student recycling programs and recess science activities.

Working Hours

• Daily Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM.
• Break Time: Includes a 1-hour lunch break.
• School Holidays: Ad-hoc deployment may be required during school holidays.
• Rest Days: Off on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted Public Holidays.
• Note: Service is not required on PSLE Oral, Listening Comprehension, and marking days.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience working in a school laboratory is preferred.
• IT Literacy: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a cooperative team player.
