Job summary

SUNNYHILL ACE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Laboratory Support Assistant to assist science classes in a school setting.

You will prepare apparatus, specimens, reagents and learning kits according to teachers’ requests, while enforcing safety protocols in the laboratory. Responsibilities include inventory audits, replenishment of materials, processing procurement requisitions, and providing administrative support to the Head of Department.

Qualifications

• GCE O Levels with at least 3 passes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apparatus, biological specimens, reagents and learning kits for teachers' lesson requests to support practical science classes.
• Maintain and enforce safety protocols in laboratories to secure hazardous materials and tools.
• Conduct regular inventory audits by counting stock and logging data to ensure accurate supply levels.
• Handle procurement requisitions to replenish laboratory materials as needed.
• Assist teachers during practical classes by supervising students to ensure compliance with workshop regulations.
• Perform assigned administrative support tasks as directed by the Head of Department (HOD).
• Use Microsoft Word and Excel to record and manage inventory data accurately.

• Handle procurement requisitions to replenish laboratory materials as needed
• Assist teachers during practical classes by supervising students to ensure compliance with workshop regulations
• Perform assigned secondary school administrative support tasks as directed by the Head of Department (HOD)
• Use Microsoft Word and Excel to record and manage inventory data accurately

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum GCE 'O' Levels with at least 3 passes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience managing laboratories in an MOE school context
• Basic knowledge of primary-level Science and Mathematics concepts

Other Information

• Position Type: Full-Time or Regular Part-Time Contract
• Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM (6 hours inclusive of lunch)
• Note: Services are not required on weekends and gazetted public holidays
