Job summary

Hougang Primary School is seeking a dedicated Science Laboratory Assistant to support the school's science curriculum. You will oversee daily laboratory operations, prepare equipment for lessons, maintain safety, inventory, and assist with practical activities in collaboration with the HOD/Science and teachers.

Candidate should have strong independent work skills, at least one science subject at O-Level, and up to 3 years of relevant experience; knowledge of safety procedures and basic IT for

Qualifications

• Minimum of GCE O-Level with at least one science subject.
• Preferably 3 years in an educational science lab setting.
• Ability to handle lab equipment, maintain safety, manage inventory, and perform basic IT record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Science laboratories and prep room.
• Prepare, set up and clear equipment and materials for lessons.
• Work with HOD/Science and teachers to prepare curriculum resources.
• Provide support during practical lessons.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; conduct annual stocktaking.
• Ensure safe storage of chemicals and maintain safety equipment.
• Manage distribution of teaching resources and support STEM activities.
• Perform other lab-related duties as assigned.
