Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. invites applications for a Science Lab Technician to support teachers with administration, prepare and organise teaching materials, and maintain the Science laboratories and storage areas.

You will monitor consumables, stock-check equipment, assist during lessons, replenish consumables, tidy up, and help coordinate science-related programmes and events while ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Primary Science and Primary Mathematics.
• Must have at least 3 O-Level passes.
• Two years of relevant primary school experience.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with administrative duties and lesson preparation.
• Take temperatures when required and manage lab safety routines.
• Stock-taking and inventory management of teaching resources.
• Prepare, set up and clear away materials for science/maths lessons.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of laboratories and storage areas.
• Monitor consumables and assist with quotations and purchasing.
• Ensure proper storage and lab safety procedures for equipment and chemicals.

ScienceLab Technician

The Services required are set out as follows:

• Tosupport teachers with administrative duties, including but not limited to:


• Temperaturetaking of students (when required;


• Stock-takingand inventory management of teaching resources;


• Collectionand management of food waste for the school's recycling programme;


• Preparationand organisation of teaching materials and learning resources;


• Updatinginventory records and maintaining resource databases.


• Prepare, set up and clear away apparatus, equipment and materials for Science and Mathematics practical lessons.


• Assist teachers during lessons by preparing materials, replenishing consumables, and ensuring the smooth conduct of practical activities.


• Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and readiness of the Science laboratories, preparation room and storage areas.


• Maintain Science equipment and teaching resources, including cleaning, checking for wear and tear, arranging repairs where necessary, and reporting faulty or damaged equipment.


• Monitor and replenish consumables and laboratory supplies, and assist insourcing quotations and purchasing Science resources as required.


• Ensure that laboratory equipment, chemicals and materials are stored, labelled and handled in accordance with school safety procedures.


• Assist in conducting regular stock checks and annual inventory verification of Science equipment and resources.


• Assist in the preparation and logistics for Science-related programmes and events.


• Comply with all school policies relating to laboratory safety.


• Perform any other administrative or operational duties assigned by the school.

Qualification:

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skillsand experience:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.


• Possess basic knowledge of Primary Science and Primary Mathematics.


• Must have at least GCE ‘O’Levels – Minimum 3 ‘O’ Level Passes


• Must have two (2) years of relevant experience performing similar duties in a primary school environment.
