Job summary

WSH Experts Pte Ltd is seeking a School Operations Assistant to support Science labs and general office functions in a school environment. The role covers laboratory preparation, inventory management, safety compliance, and frontline reception to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will collaborate with teachers, leaders, and staff to deliver reliable administrative and logistical support for student activities and events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and clear lab apparatus, materials for Science lessons.
• Assist teachers in preparing materials for practical investigations and STEM activities.
• Keep laboratories clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Maintain inventory of lab equipment, consumables, and teaching resources.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies.
• Organize and store equipment, materials, and chemicals.
• Conduct routine checks on lab equipment and facilities.
• Report faulty equipment and coordinate repairs.
• Support bi-annual stock-taking and resource audits.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of materials and chemicals.
• Check safety equipment and report hazards promptly.
• Greet parents, visitors, vendors at the General Office.
• Answer enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
• Coordinate visitor registration and security procedures.
• Assist with data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
• Prepare simple reports, letters, and documents as required.
• Provide logistical support for school programs and events.
• Share information with staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teachers, leaders, and operations staff.
• Respond promptly to requests with solutions-oriented support.
• Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by School Leaders or Heads of Department.
• Support safe, organized lab and classroom operations.
• Deliver courteous frontline service at the General Office.
• Contribute to positive student and parent experiences.
