Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a lab-focused administrator to support Teaching & Learning at Science Laboratories. You will prepare lab set-ups, maintain equipment, and assist in ALP-related lessons for P3–P6, while handling stock-taking and document management.

Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays 7.30am to 2.30pm; Saturdays off; lunch 30 minutes. Duration: Immediate to May 2027. EA License no. 96C4864.

Qualifications

• Experience in organizing science lab resources and equipment.
• Ability to follow lab safety protocols and procedures.
• Capable of handling basic cleaning and stock-taking tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare experimental set-ups in Science Labs according to lab procedures & protocols.
• Prepare specimens and samples for investigative activities.
• Organise and maintain lab apparatus, equipment and teaching resources.
• Assist in ordering science lab supplies.
• Ensure that safety guidelines in Science Laboratories are followed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of Science Laboratories by performing basic cleaning and mopping.
• Assist in stock-taking of lab apparatus & equipment.
• Co-ordinate with vendor to maintain the ALP projects in school.
• Assist in the preparation required for ALP lessons conducted for P3, P4, P5 and P6 students.
• Prepare & organise hands-on resources for Science/ALP events.
• Organise teachers’ desk copies for distribution at the beginning of the year and perform stock-taking at end of the year.
• Help with administrative work like sorting of documents and assisting in school events.
• Carry out filing and scanning of documents and exam papers.

Teaching & Learning at Science Laboratories (1 and 2)

• Assist in stock-taking of lab apparatus & equipment.

Teaching and Learning for Applied Learning Programme (ALP) under Science Department

• Co-ordinate with vendor to maintain the ALP projects in school.
• Assist in the preparation required for ALP lessons conducted for P3, P4, P5 and P6 students.

Administrative work in School

• Prepare & organise hands‑on resources for Science/ALP events.
• Organise teachers’ desk copies for distribution at the beginning of the year and perform stock‑taking at end of the year.
• Help with administrative work like sorting of documents and assisting in school events.
• Carry out filing and scanning of documents and exam papers. During the examinations, he or she must also help with the packing and counting of papers.

Any other tasks assigned by the School Leaders and HOD (Science).

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7.30am to 2.30pm
• Saturdays: Off Day
• Lunch: 30 minutes
