Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a dedicated Chemistry Lab Assistant to support the Science Department in a secondary school.

The role involves maintaining laboratories, preparing setups, and ensuring cleanliness and safety of the lab environment.

Qualifications

• GCE 'N' Level certificate or equivalent (education certification may be offset with relevant work experience).
• At least 4 years of working experience in a secondary school chemistry lab.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to carry out routine tasks in a non-air-conditioned environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Science Department in maintaining the school's science laboratories.
• Prepare experimental set-ups for laboratory work.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of science laboratories.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) or School STEM Instructors.

Job description

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2027

Working Hours:

• Mon–Thu: 7:00am – 4:15pm (incl. 45-min lunch break)
• Fri: 7:00am – 3:45pm (incl. 45-min lunch break)
• Rest Days: No work required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Science Department in maintaining the school's science laboratories
• Prepare experimental set-ups for laboratory work
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of science laboratories
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) or School STEM Instructors

Job Requirements
