Job summary

WSH Experts Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a School Science Support Assistant to help teachers with lesson materials, equipment setup and resource preparation.

You will manage the Science Resource Room, conduct inventory checks, procure materials, ensure safety and provide administrative support for lessons and school events. Strong organisation and teamwork with students and staff are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organise and distribute Science teaching resources and materials before lessons.
• Set up equipment and consumables for activities and experiments according to teachers’ instructions.
• Prepare student experiment kits and ensure sufficient materials are available for all classes.
• Assist in preparing resources for inquiry-based learning, Science enrichment programmes and school events.
• Clear away, clean and properly store equipment and materials after lessons.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and safety of the Science Resource Room, preparation room and storage areas.
• Conduct regular inventory checks of Science equipment, apparatus and consumables.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in the procurement and replenishment of Science materials.
• Report damaged or faulty equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements where required.
• Ensure Science equipment is properly maintained and ready for classroom use.
• Provide administrative support to teachers to ensure the smooth and effective operations of the school, including: Preparation of lesson materials and teaching resources.
• Logistical support related to lessons and school programmes.
• Assist with student-related administrative tasks such as: Keeping track of students’ attendance, managing loans and returns of resources and equipment, handling lost-and-found items, Sorting, filing and collating worksheets and learning materials etc.
• Perform general administrative duties such as: Binding, laminating, photocopying and shredding documents, preparing, checking and verifying documents, maintaining and updating records and databases, organising, filing and housekeeping of physical and digital documents.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the HOD Science, School Leaders or authorised personnel
