Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology or educational psychology is required.
• Fluent in French; good level of English is desirable.
• Experience in education settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of psychopedagogy and assessment methods.
• Strong listening, observation, and empathy skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to individual requests from students, families and teams regarding personal, educational or pedagogical issues and set up follow-up.
• Assist staff in screening and care of exceptional students.
• Undertake psychological assessments and analyze external assessments.
• Advise students and families, teams and management to facilitate student care.
• Participate in teacher boards to support student care and observe in class; conduct cognitive assessments on request.
• Establish links with health and paramedical professionals outside the school.
• Contribute to prevention sessions with students and coordinate with health and teaching teams.
• Participate in the GAIN structure to share expertise.
• Attend meetings for students with special educational requirements outside PPS and PAS.
• Supervise Student Assistants, assess needs, recruit and train.
