Job summary

VINAYAK ENGINEERING & SERVICES PTE. LTD. seeks a diligent Kitchen Assistant to support NFS Teachers in practical cooking lessons at a Singapore secondary school. You will assist with food prep, maintain hygiene, and help manage ingredients and teaching aids.

Requirements include PSLE qualification, FSC Level 1 certificate, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential, with occasional longer hours when needed.

Qualifications

• PSLE qualification is the minimum requirement.
• FSC Level 1 Certificate is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience as an FCE/NFS Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school.
• Basic culinary and mathematical skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Independent, responsible and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist NFS Teachers during practical culinary lessons and guide students on food preparation and safety.
• Prepare and portion ingredients, equipment and utensils before lessons.
• Receive and check food deliveries and maintain proper stock records.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen safety, cleanliness and organisation.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, appliances and resources.
• Support students and teachers during lessons and perform other duties assigned by NFS Teachers.
