in Singapore seeks a Kitchen Assistant to support daily operations in the Teacher Preparation Room and two kitchens, receive and verify food orders, and prepare and portion ingredients for culinary lessons. You will maintain food hygiene and kitchen safety, check equipment and supplies, conduct stock-taking, and assist NFS Teachers during sessions while guiding students on safety and proper food handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum PSLE qualification.
• WSQ FSC Level 1 Certificate required.
• At least 3 years of experience as FCE/NFS Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school.
• Basic culinary and mathematical skills.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations in the Teacher Preparation Room and two Kitchens.
• Receive and verify food orders and deliveries.
• Prepare and portion ingredients and equipment for culinary lessons.
• Maintain food hygiene, kitchen safety and cleanliness.
• Check and maintain ingredients, equipment, utensils and appliances.
• Conduct inventory and stock-taking of resources.
• Assist NFS Teachers during culinary sessions and guide students on safety and food preparation.
• Perform other duties assigned by NFS Teachers
