Job summary

Assumption English School in Singapore is seeking a contract-based School Attendant to support day-to-day operations on-site. The role runs from 1 Jan 2027 to 31 December 2027 with an option to extend to 2028; hours are Mondays to Thursdays 6.30 am–4.00 pm (1 hr lunch), Fridays 6.30 am–3.30 pm (1 hr lunch).

Qualifications

• GCE O level or equivalent; supporting certificates required with CV.
• At least 1 year of experience as a school attendant.
• Prior school attendant experience is an advantage.
• Ability to use basic internet apps (e.g., WhatsApp).

Responsibilities

• In‑door cleaning duties of school facilities rooms, e.g., wiping tables/windows, vacuuming carpets, pantry cleaning, clearing trash bins.
• Assist Operations Manager in general maintenance of the school environment and upkeep of facilities; report defects and check stocks.
• Locking/unlocking of school rooms; ensure security including opening/closing gates and rooms; operate alarm system; report security concerns.
• Provide support for routine tasks and ad-hoc needs such as logistical support for school events, moving furniture/equipment, and ushering if required.
• In‑door maintenance of house plants.
• Assist the Operations Manager in coordinating with external contractors for maintenance of grounds, facilities and equipment.
• Any ad-hoc duties assigned by School Leaders and Operations Managers.
