Job summary

Symrise Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Savory) to support snacks and culinary applications in a full-time, on-site role. The position involves prototype development, sample prep, inventory control, and maintaining organized flavor libraries within a multicultural lab environment.

The ideal candidate should have a related diploma and can work independently or with a team, maintaining high attention to detail and safety.

Qualifications

• ITE/Dipoma in Food Technology, Food Science or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Does not have allergies, specifically to powders and physically able to lift loads up to 5kg.
• Knowledge of flavour industry is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multicultural, cross functional environment.
• A team player with a positive and professional attitude who is detailed-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Support Application Technologists in prototype development and project activities including formula compounding, sample preparation and other assigned tasks
• Maintain and upkeep inventory level of laboratory flavor and raw materials to ensure proper stock rotation, timely reordering and removal of expired items
• Organize and manage the seasoning and flavor library, food service (FS) library and Tool Kit to ensure proper upkeep and accessibility
• Ensure consistent supply and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and laboratory consumables
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the laboratory to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
• Conduct shelf-life and stability tests on samples to support development and quality assurance
• Coordinate the safe disposal of chemical waste and glass bottles in compliance with safety guidelines
• Assist with packing, shipping, dispatch and documentation of trial samples to ensure accurate and timely delivery
• Prepare applications for QC testing, sampling and evaluation processes
• Maintain accurate records and proper documentation for raw materials and finished products
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and only safe, intact equipment is used in lab operations

Education
