Zusammenfassung

IBM Consulting in Singapore is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to design, build, and optimize ABAP-based solutions across S/4HANA landscapes. You will develop interfaces, reports, and forms, while collaborating with functional consultants to translate business needs into technical specs.

The role requires 3–8+ years of SAP ABAP experience, strong DDIC and ABAP OO skills, and experience with SAP integration methods.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience depending on seniority.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects and DDIC.
• Experience with S/4HANA and HANA concepts.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Design and implement RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects.
• Work on SAP modules such as S/4HANA, ECC, or other SAP landscapes.
• Develop and optimize ABAP code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Build and enhance integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, and APIs.
• Support SAP upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality assurance processes, and best practices.
• Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to stakeholders.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows

• Work on SAP modules such as S/4HANA, ECC, or other SAP landscapes
• Develop and optimize ABAP code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Build and enhance integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, and APIs
• Support SAP upgrades, migrations (e.g., S/4HANA transformation), and system enhancements
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality assurance processes, and best practices
• Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to stakeholders

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Proven experience in SAP ABAP development (typically 3–8+ years depending on seniority)
• Strong experience in:
  • ABAP Objects (OOP)
  • Data Dictionary (DDIC)
  • ALV Reports, SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms
  • Interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services)
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and HANA database concepts (AMDP, CDS Views)
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with SAP integration technologies and APIs
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Hands-on experience with:
  • SAP Fiori and UI5 development
  • OData services and Gateway
  • SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
• Experience in SAP implementation or transformation projects (Greenfield/Brownfield)
• Exposure to industry solutions (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, HR)
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and automation in SAP environments
• SAP certification in ABAP or S/4HANA (preferred)
