Job summary

IBM Consulting in Singapore is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to design, build, and optimize ABAP-based solutions across S/4HANA landscapes. You will develop interfaces, reports, and forms, while collaborating with functional consultants to translate business needs into technical specs.

The role requires 3–8+ years of SAP ABAP experience, strong DDIC and ABAP OO skills, and experience with SAP integration methods.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
3–8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience depending on seniority.
Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects and DDIC.
Experience with S/4HANA and HANA concepts.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
Design and implement RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects.
Work on SAP modules such as S/4HANA, ECC, or other SAP landscapes.
Develop and optimize ABAP code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Build and enhance integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, and APIs.
Support SAP upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements.
Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality assurance processes, and best practices.
Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
