Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Singapore seeks a diligent Sample Coordinator to support laboratory operations. You will perform receipt, labeling, inventory, and handling of samples and standards following SOPs, with attention to accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Working in a fast-paced lab, you’ll communicate status to colleagues, help train staff, and contribute to CAPA processes. The role requires ability to work 40 hrs/week in a regulated environment and to adapt to shift schedules.

Qualifications

• High/secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in sample management or similar setting.
• Proficiency in LIMS and sample handling knowledge.
• Experience in regulated lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of sample and standard tasks including receipt, labeling, inventory, transport, and disposal.
• Communicate the status of samples and standards to lab staff.
• Guide and advise laboratory staff on sample and standard procedures.
• Complete investigations and CAPA if necessary and determine appropriate actions.
• Review laboratory requests for SOP compliance and accuracy.
• Train on SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and storage requirements; respond to environmental unit alarms and on-call responsibilities.
• Perform work assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
