Wilmar International is seeking a field-based Merchandiser responsible for ensuring our products are well merchandised at the point of sale. You will visit assigned retail outlets daily to maintain stock availability and display quality.

You will build rapport with store managers, coordinate promotions, space buys, roadshows and sampling sessions, and replenish stock from back rooms to shelves and freezers. The role requires daily travel and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG or consumer goods preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel daily and lift/move stock.

Responsabilités

• Daily visits to assigned retail outlets to ensure stock and displays.
• Develop and maintain rapport with managers and store staff.
• Work with retailer personnel to prevent stockouts.
• Learn SOPs and ways of working from retailer/store teams.
• Coordinate in-store activities such as promos, space buys, roadshows and sampling sessions.
• Execute merchandising, display, and promotion plans according to standards.
• Replenish stocks from cold room or back store to shelves and freezers.
• Improve planograms and maintain product facings.
• Propose and execute in-store promotion/trade plans when opportunities arise.
• Monitor and report on the competitive environment of our products.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

You will be based in the field and responsible for ensuring our products are well merchandised to end consumers.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily visits to assigned retail outlets and various locations as necessary

• Develop and maintain strong rapport with the various managers and staff of both the retailers and their stores

• Work closely with retailer/store personnel to ensure no out of stock situations

• Learn and understand from retailer/store teams on their various SOP and ways of working

• Coordinate with retailer/store on activities such as regular promo events, space buy, roadshows, sampling sessions and festive events

• Execute merchandising, display, and promotion/trade plans according to our merchandising standards

• Where needed, replenish stocks from cold room or back store to the store’s shelves and freezers

• Where possible, assist to improve planograms, maintain, and win product facings for our products

• Propose and execute specific in-store promotion/trade plans if opportunity arises

• Monitor and report on the competitive environment of our products

• Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Key Requirements

• At least 2 years of working experience in similar role (preferably in FMCG, foodservice, or consumer goods).

• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with store staff and customers.

• The role may require lifting, moving stock, and being on your feet for long hours.

• Willing to travel to various locations daily
