Job Description for Sales Manager
This position reports to Sales & Marketing Director. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead our enrolment efforts across 60 preschool and student care centres in Singapore. This is a high-impact role that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire teams to achieve ambitious sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, exceptional people skills, and the drive to create a culture of excellence and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance & Accountability
- Take full ownership of overall sales performance and conversion rates across all centres.
- Monitor and report KPIs, including enquiry-to-tour, tour-to-enrolment, and overall enrolment targets.
- Take initiative to address challenges, identify opportunities, and implement creative strategies to close sales.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage the Sales Lead, Sales Executives (PLOs), and Call Centre to deliver enrolment targets.
- Coach, motivate, and guide the team to achieve individual and collective KPIs.
- Build a collaborative culture where sales excellence, accountability, and customer focus are top priorities.
Sales Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and implement sales strategies for the entire sales organisation, including principals conducting school tours.
- Innovate and propose new lead generation and lead hunting methods to expand the pipeline.
- Analyse market trends and parent behaviours to continuously refine sales approaches.
Centre Readiness & Operational Alignment
- Conduct regular visits to all 60 centres to ensure:
- Centres are presentable and ready for tours.
- Principals and staff are trained and confident in handling prospective parents.
- Consistent application of sales processes across locations.
- Provide actionable feedback and follow-up plans to principals and staff.
Sales Communication & Standards
- Develop and standardise sales communication templates, including:
- Enquiry responses and tour confirmations.
- Follow-up emails, SMS, or WhatsApp templates.
- Call centre answering scripts and enquiry-handling guidelines.
- School tour scripts and talking points for principals.
- Define and enforce follow-up standards (speed, frequency, quality) to ensure no leads are left unattended.
- Monitor CRM activity to ensure consistent, timely, and persuasive communication at every stage of the funnel.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Hold regular meetings with school principals to align on enrolment strategies, share best practices, and support tour conversion.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to ensure lead flow, campaign alignment, and consistent messaging.
- Foster strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners to strengthen enrolment performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in sales, with a minimum of 3 years in a sales leadership role.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
- Experience managing large teams, including call centre functions, preferred.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, data-driven, and comfortable using CRM systems to drive performance.
- Ability to travel frequently across multiple centres in Singapore.
