Qualifications

• Previous experience in marine, maritime or shipping-related sales/business development.
• Experience within ship repair, marine services, ship supply, ship chandling or a related sector would be highly advantageous.
• Existing relationships with shipowners, ship managers, vessel operators and/or marine industry stakeholders are an advantage.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify, develop and close new business opportunities.
• Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently to develop business.
• Good understanding of the Singapore maritime market is preferred.
• Willingness to meet customers regularly and attend relevant industry/networking events.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities for the company's ship repair and ship supply services.
• Identify and approach prospective customers, including shipowners, ship managers, vessel operators and other maritime companies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Conduct regular client meetings, presentations and commercial discussions.
• Understand customers' vessel requirements and coordinate internally to provide suitable service and supply solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial offers and follow up through to successful closure.
• Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and identify upcoming repair, maintenance and supply requirements.
• Work closely with operations and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are properly communicated and delivered.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activity and potential business opportunities.
• Attend industry events, networking functions and customer meetings to strengthen the company's market presence.
• Achieve agreed sales and business development targets.
